Position Overview
As the Social Media Manager, you will play a critical role in shaping the voice of Amazon across various social media platforms. You will be responsible for developing and executing innovative social media strategies to increase brand awareness, drive engagement, and foster community relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage a comprehensive social media strategy that aligns with Amazon's business objectives, marketing initiatives, and brand messaging.
- Create engaging, high-quality content tailored for specific platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and TikTok.
- Manage the social media calendar, ensuring balanced and consistent posting schedules across all channels.
- Monitor social media channels for customer feedback, inquiries, and industry trends, responding in a timely and effective manner.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Marketing, PR, and Customer Service to ensure alignment across all communication efforts.
- Analyze performance metrics and KPIs to optimize strategies for measurable success, providing regular reports to senior management.
- Stay updated on the latest social media tools, trends, applications, and best practices, continually adapting strategies as the landscape evolves.
- Lead social media campaigns from conception to execution, including paid advertising initiatives to promote key products, services, and events.
- Engage with our online community to establish relationships, gather insights, and drive a two-way conversation.
- Coordinate with the creative team to produce visual assets that enhance social media posts and campaigns, including graphics, videos, and photographs.
- Monitor and report on competitor social media strategies, identifying opportunities for improvement and innovation.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- At least 3-5 years of experience in social media management or digital marketing, preferably within a corporate environment.
- Proven track record of developing effective social media strategies that have driven engagement and increased brand loyalty.
- Strong understanding of social media analytics tools such as Hootsuite, Sprout Social, or Google Analytics to track performance and draw insights.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and communication skills, with an ability to adjust style and tone for different audiences.
- Experience with social media advertising and promotions, including budget management, targeting, and performance evaluation.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team, managing multiple projects under tight deadlines.
- Strong creative mindset, capable of producing engaging content that resonates with the target audience.
- Proficiency in graphic design and video editing software is a plus (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite).
- Knowledge of SEO principles and how they relate to social media is advantageous.
